RandomChina travel destination- Xian 西安

11 Jun

Everybody knows this historic city for its terracotta warriors but there are several other cool places to visit. As one of the four ancient great capitals of China (Beijing is another one) and located near the Silk Road, Xian is packed with history and has a slightly different exotic feel, exemplified by its bustling Muslim quarter, where many of its Huis live. I’ve put up a few photos of the Muslim Quarter here, but besides that, there are other great places like the Shaanxi History Museum, Xian Museum, the Big Goose pagoda, and the massive City Wall. If you plan to visit Xian, don’t just come for the terracotta warriors. Spend a few days and you won’t be disappointed.
